PRODUCT INFORMATION

The Pan-African flag, (also called the Marcus Garvey, UNIA, Afro-American or Black Liberation flag,) was designed to represent people of the African Diaspora. The RBG are the red, white, and blue of Black consciousness, and have very specific meanings that every Black man, woman, and child should know.

The red, black, and green flag was first designed and used by Marcus Garvey – a founding father of Pan-Africanism – and members of the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA) in 1920.

“Show me the race or the nation without a flag, and I will show you a race of people without any pride. Aye! In song and mimicry they have said, “Every race has a flag but the coon.” How true! Aye! But that was said of us four years ago. They can’t say it now….” -Marcus Garvey

This flag is a perfect wall hanging, or for outside display on a porch. It is durable, but it is not intended for long term use in wind or on a flag pole.
